USPS Module 2014_0126_K1 Doesn't Have Module Name, Remove Properly or Enable

Hi all,

So I had to upgrade from the old USPS module as it had stopped providing international rates earlier this year. Once I realized that it was most likely an outdated module causing the issue, I decided to upgrade to the latest version.

Now...nothing works.

Here are my issues:

1) After removing the old module, then removing the old module's PHP files, uploading the new ones, and then installing them via Admin, the module name appears as blank in the shipping module list. If I click on it to edit the settings, it allows me to do so. So I proceed, thinking that the name is just a name, no biggie. I enter in all my info and enable the module...

2) The module doesn't enable (the little light stays red, doesn't go yellow or green). I have all my settings correct from the previous version, set to enabled, using production, etc. Still nothing. After doing everything I could think of I decided that maybe the install didn't work well, so I should start over again...

3) So I remove the newly installed USPS module the same way I removed the old module (removed it via Admin, then removed the PHP files and uploaded the news ones again). I then proceed to re-install the new module again, but the same issue of the name not appearing in the shipping modules list was still happening. I clicked on it again to go ahead and start inputting my USPS information anyways, but this time ALL the information was pre-populated with my details that I had from the previous installation. I had removed the PHP files completely, replaced them with the new ones...how can this be?

So now I have no idea what's going on.

Now that I have no working module, I cannot get rates for (and therefore sell to) the United States or International countries.

Can anyone please help?

First, let's check that the right files are loaded on the server ...

Go to your Zen Cart Admin and go to Tools ... Developers Tool Kit ...

In the bottom input box enter:
usps.php

Then, select Catalog ... click SEARCH ...

What comes up on the lines for:
* @version $Id: usps.php

If you look in the directory:
/includes/modules/shipping

via your FTP program, what files do you see on the server?

NOTE: Include any backup files or renamed files that you see ...

If you look in the directory:
/cache

do you see any Debug logs?

If so, view the most recent files and post what you see in the contents ...

In the /includes/modules/shipping directory, I see:

flat.php
freeoptions.php
freeshipper.php
item.php
perweightunit.php
storepickup.php
table.php
ups.php
upsxml.php
usps.php
usps.php OLD
zones.php

The usps.php OLD file is considered an unrecognized file type (due to the addition of "OLD" at the end of the file name). This is my old file in case I had to rollback this upgrade.

As for the /includes/cache folder, I do not even see one, so I'm assuming there are no debug logs if that directory hasn't been created?

I do not believe the old USPS renamed to usps.php OLD is an issue, but to rule it out can you remove that from the server?

Does anything change on the display of the Shipping modules?

What version of php are you using? You can check in the Tools ... Server Info ...

I removed the "OLD" files and nothing has changed in the display of Admin>Modules>Shipping.

Could you click on the USPS shipping module, just so it is the selected shipping module, then do a screen shot of what you see on that page?
