How to remove(not display) the footer bar?

I'm using Avonlee Contempo Template.
How to remove(not display) the bottom grey footer bar ??

Yes, I want to remove the whole grey box . just want to replace by the store logo and store name.

As stevesh said, seeing the site live would help us advise on the best way to do this. As it is, we can only give generic advice such as to edit /includes/templates/your_template/common/tpl_footer.php (copy it from /template_default/ if you don't already have a custom copy).
