Help for non techy

As a none web site developer and someone who knows nothing about FTP, PHP, and all the other stuff, I'm finding it hard to understand how to add the plugins for Google analytics and Mailchimp. Is there a thread/website that explains how to do these thing in a step by stop way? I have Flash FTP downloaded to my laptop and can sign In to my site via it but as for uploading to my site via FTP I'm stumped. I've read... upload this and that to your site... but I don't know how to do it.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

For basic FTP operations, it looks like there are tutorial videos on the FlashFXP website. It couldn't be much simpler, though. It's just like having two copies of Windows Explorer on one screen. One lists all the folders and files on your local computer, and the other lists all the folders and files on your Zencart server. The FTP part is just dragging and dropping files from one to the other. That's it.

As an aside, I don't see any point to buying an FTP program when there are good free ones available. Look at Filezilla or (my choice) the FireFTP plugin for the Firefox browser.
