How to Handle the Store Prodcts, Inventory when using Stock by Attributes?

Hi there

has anyone any experience in handling store products, inventory when selling Stock with Attributes.

Q: There is a module called stock by Attributes, whereby variants of colours can be added and given a separate id number, how can these be controlled, as to being in or out of stock when a model number is only supplied on a CSV data feed?

Q: How can new products be added that have a product variant and different image when these products have a different model number and will need to be consolidated into 1 item with stock variants?

Not a 100% sure that it will do for hat you are looking for at the moment, but a variant of Easy Populate 4 can somewhat handle what you are looking for. There may be other "plugins" that can do the same thing.

I'm a little lost on the discussion/concern about the unique number info. Most of these type programs work off of the model number, though some of the SBA/EP4 combined groupings mayneed this extra od number to help sort things out.

hi, we use stock by attributes (modified slightly)

we add our products manually and using Easy Populate 4 but at the minute add our attributes and stock by attribute manually

we then update the stock available with a csv, dont use seperate images but it is available as standard in zencart

First few times of trying to read and understand the above, I didn't get it. Now I might have some additional insight.

Basically, you will need to figure out some way to associate these multiple items into a single explained group and then some changes would need to be made to be able to import the product(s). As far as images, the image names would have to be modified to be additional images for the base product. Without other changes to the EP4 code, the model # would need to be set to the same model# for all products/variants to be listed. Otherwise also would need to consider/modify the code to handle any additional table data to know which additional image belongs to which attribute if such is necessary.
