No admin information showing on admin settings page

I am presently using v 1.3.9h
When i try to create a new admin and delete one I go to Tools, Admin Settings and this is what I get.
-----
Problem 1

Admin Settings

1054 Unknown column 'admin_level' in 'field list'
in:
[select admin_id, admin_name, admin_email, admin_pass, admin_level from zen_admin order by admin_name limit 0, 20]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.
ID Admins Name Email Action

--------
I lost my password and could not login and the system was not sending emails, I tried the fix on this link http://www.zen-cart.com/content.php?44 - it did not work, I got a message that said something about not having an admin login to change. Out of desperation I finally copied the numbers for the password part and inserted them into the password area in the SQL line. I could now login and turn on the email feature, got my original password. Went back to SQL and changed the password string back to the original and now my login works, but I have 2 problems that I know of so far. Not sure what caused these problems, since I have not logged in for several months.

the error above on the admin page is the first problem this is Problem 2

when I change pages in admin sometimes this happens - something puts strange letters into the link like this; http://cra-sales.com/MUKaZ/zc_admin/categories.php and I get this error message -

Not Found
The requested URL /MUKaZ/zc_admin/categories.php was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. -

I can remove the strange letters from the address bar and I either get get kicked to the login page, or to the correct page. If I have to log in the page loads when I click it the second time.

I have contacted 3IX and they say all my files are on the same server. The server is using Server OS: Linux 2.6.32-431.5.1.el6.x86_64 - PHP Version: 5.3.28 (Zend: 2.3.0) PHP Memory Limit: 32M - Database: MySQL 5.1.73-cll

I am desperate for help.

Re: No admin information showing on admin settings page

Just went into the admin on my second site and am getting the same strange letters appearing in the url. So it is something with the server or my system. I am using v 1.5.0 on this site. It is on the same host account as the site above.

http://dnlcrafts.com/PkPTZ/zc_admin/profiles.php
[h=1]Not Found[/h]The requested URL /PkPTZ/zc_admin/profiles.php was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Re: No admin information showing on admin settings page

Since posting your admin URL here you need to change it (both domains!) asap to something less obvious, and in future posts don't share your actual admin URL. When posting a question either remove the address or disguise it as 'mysecretadmin' or something.

The recommendation was to change the admin path of your files, not to create a new admin user.

Regarding your issue though, besides that you should look to update your 1.3.9h version of ZC, you should compare all of your files as it may seem that something extra has been inserted/modified. The fact that both sites are on the same server somewhat leads me to that statement. Check your configure.php files in your admin directory to see if that extra text is in there. Also consider changing your password for your ftp and cPanel. Ensure to use a strong password.

i went into cPanel, using Fantastico upgraded my site to 1.5.0 - I could not login - said wrong password - no emails came giving new password. I went back to cPanel phpmyadmin copied the password code from a working site and pasted into the non working one. Now I log into it and it goes to one page showing customer names etc and I can not go anywhere from that page. the few links that are active gets me this message
[h=1]Sorry, your security clearance does not allow you to access this resource.[/h][h=1]Please contact your site administrator if you believe this to be incorrect.[/h][h=1]Sorry for any inconvenience.[/h]How do I fix this problem?

There is a message at the top of the page that says there is s new version 1.5.1 that can be down loaded. Should I do that or fix the admin first?

I'm not familiar with fantastico, but an upgrade generally is not done just by replacing the files at least on a site that has modifications added/made to it. It would seem that perhaps there are remnants of the old version that have not been removed. (Upgrade instructions identify which file(s) should be removed as well as which to insert.) Again, not familiar with fantastico. Also, it may be that the configure.php files need to be updated to contain the information necessary for your new version of ZC.

Like is impplied in the upgrade instructions, either upgrade system or install other software, but done do both. I would suggest either repairing the 1.5.0 install then upgrade to 1.5.1 or upgrade again from 1.3.9h to 1.5.1. Be sure to follow the upgrade instructions. There is more posted in the FAQ.

It will not restore the actual passwords, but the way that passwords are "processed." Did you already run the zc_install on the database to upgrade the database to 1.5.0? If so, would want to also restore the database using the backup that was made before the attempted upgrade. Also, again as far as restoring to the 1.3.9h version, need to be sure that the restoration process will remove the files that were in addition to the existing files. Also, should consider doing this "upgrade" on a location other than your live store. A subdirectory or local computer. When doing that, the database should be copied over to a new location so that can manipulate the data without affect to your live store.

Re: No admin information showing on admin settings page

Thank you for the information above. After 3 days of comparing files and making sure everything I can find is now accurate for a 1.5.0 install. I can login to admin but when I get there there is no nav bar for entering products. I have the nav bar in the header that shows the date, time and such. The second nav bar is missing. The page shows statistics and such. Any live link I click shows this message.
Sorry, your security clearance does not allow you to access this resource.

Please contact your site administrator if you believe this to be incorrect.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

How do I get the security problem fixed. Right or wrong I am thinking that if I can get that fixed my nav bar just might come back. Might this be a server Apache problem?? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Re: No admin information showing on admin settings page

Before your upgrade did you use an admin user/account permission/restrictions mod?

Not to my knowledge. I have no idea of where to find one or how to use it. The only extra items I have put on to the site is a text editor. For a couple days i could not get into the admin because the login page was blank. After much research on the forums, and trial and error, I contacted the server about a security block they could possibly fix. Guess they did something because my login page suddenly showed up. I can now login but cannot do anything but logout. All other links gets the security message above.

Essentially your profile is. Identified as one without permissions, recommend trying the actions of the following link:
http://www.zen-cart.com/content.php?44-how-do-i-change-or-reset-my-admin-password-%28i-lost-it%29

In essence you may want to resestablish a login that is identified as an admin user. This may also require modification of another table setting, that at the moment I can't recall but would relate the above newly created/modified user to the superuser role.
