Default Site and admin showing blank

Any help you can give would be great. The only edited files are metatag.php and stylesheet.css since it stopped working i can't understand why either would affect the site loading properly all the files are still on the server.

    The latest log shows:

[07-Apr-2014 13:23:19] PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /var/www/virtual_hosts/handcraftedbyannie.com/includes/languages/english/meta_tags.php on line 20

which means nothing to me. I dont even know if they are relevant to the site. one minute it was working then it wasn't.

Thanks in advance for a hopefully speedy response.

What happens when you replace the edited file with untouched original of meta_tags.php

If you'd post (using the CODE tag, the # in the menu bar when you're writing a post) the contents of your /includes/languages/english/meta_tags.php a couple of lines before and after line 20, someone here will be able to help.
