    Default Wordpress on ZC?

    Good morning All
I am trying to amp up my sales and therefore going to try to blog...

I have been reading about how to do this and have not found many postings in the current time.
    So..
I have found the WOZ mod but there was a couple of postings that this is not a current mod and therefore not the route to go. And there does not seem to be a support thread with current postings..

Then I noted a posting about the numerix mod on that site.

Can someone much brighter than I give a suggestion as to what it the best point to start..

I do not have any experience with WP and blogging as a whole.. TYVM!

I have used the Numinix method and it works fine, though the instructions aren't the best, and you need to fiddle with the stylesheets.

TY for the post.. actually it was your response to another thread that gave me pause.. I was going to use the WOZ mod... Did read the instructions on the numerix mod and you are soooooo very correct, instructions are not for the meek at heart - may I assume when 'he' is speaking of the 'child theme' that is something like the ZC override files?

Not sure. I didn't bother with the Wordpress 'child theme'.

As I understand it, the WOZ integration doesn't work with newer Zencart versions. The Numinix instructions work, but you have to go step by step and follow each one to the letter. The most common problem, I'd guess (I made this mistake, anyway) is in Step 6. Be sure to read and follow the Note: at the end of the step. I would also suggest trying to install this mod in a test Zencart site rather than your live site.

It does work with all the zc 1.5.x versions. I tested it on all three of them. As a theme I installed a very bare-bone theme, so some basic styling was done with the stylesheets from zen cart.

HMMM So what I am seeing is that you are saying that the WOZ mod works on the upgraded sites...?
Since both will be challenging to install, is there any preference as far as features and being able to make blog pages look like my site?

Definately will need to read more.... But your opinions will help...

    Possibly crossed wires here?
Don't waste your time with WOZ, go straight to the Numinix method. I think Design75 was trying to say that Numinix method works for him too.

Indeed I was. WOZ is a waste of time. Use the Numinix solution

I echo the "WOZ is a waste of time sentiment" here, and in the WOZ support thread..

I took the POV that blog embedding was a heavy burdensome method of approaching WordPress and Zen Cart integration.. At the end of the day all my clients simply wanted was to have a simple set of sideboxes with links to content on their blog that updated automatically as they updated their blog..

so for an even SIMPLER method to integrate WordPress with Zen Cart you can take a look at my WP4Zen solution.. When I get a chance to take a breather I will upload this to the free modules section.. In the meantime take a look at my site for a looksee at this.. Here's the beauty of this solution.. It's SIMPLE to install with easy instructions that won't make your eyes cross.. and you don't have to worry about it bumping heads with other modules..
