    cart error Multiple Product Add to Cart not working

    I am working on a copy of a clients site as we have upgraded from 1.3.8a to 1.5.1 . Everything seems to have gone well except that the add to cart button is not adding to the cart.

    We have a multiple products layout but when you try to add any number of products to the cart, the add to cart button just redirects you to the same page.

    I cannot see anything wrong with the Add to Cart form information or the Quantity inputs and the server log is not showing any errors at all for this site. But any guess or possible avenues I should try and pursue are very welcome.

    Considering that this was an upgrade, typical information that should also be provided is how the upgrade was performed. (Fresh install with features added in, or were files merged to do the upgrade?)

    Don't know what you would consider easiest, but comparing the files of a fresh install to your upgraded files would more than likely reveal the issue. And not just the core to the core, but also the core/default to the templated overrides.

    Otherwise it is possible that the code called when the add item(s) to cart may not match the upgrade version, or the code that generates the selection boxes may not havebeen updated/loaded fully. The other typical change from the older versions of ZC to the newer is that now the POST command is often used as compared to the previous GET command and therefore with this mix the values do not get updated on the next load.

    Hope that helps a little. I apologize for not providing a specific fiilename as I am working frommemory at the moment.

    Hi, Sorry for my delay in responding to you. My thread reply editor wasn't working and it took a little bit for me to figure out how to get it going again.
    I upgraded the site by uploading the new version files over the old and then running the database upgrade.
    I did think there was a change in some files between versions to make this happen but I have no idea where to start from. What folder/file would I need to look in? I have looked for everything i can think of but haven't found the problem yet some input and/guidance would be helpful.

    This was your first mistake and not recommended by any person, FAQ, WIKI, or tutorial on this site.
    You will need to do the upgrade correctly to begin with. You can look at https://www.zen-cart.com/content.php...-zen-cart-site or http://www.zen-cart.com/entry.php?3-...d-of-upgrading but the latter is probably the best.

    The second link says to "Replace all the Zen Cart php files/folders/images/everything in your live store with the new files" how do I do that without uploading it over the old files?

    In step c3 of Keep My Store Live it says to do that AFTER creating and finalizing the new/upgraded version in another directory. It also has other steps and ideas.

    For now, do step c9 and read the entire thread. Make notes of what you perceive it to say. Reread and decide which way to go.

    Deep breath taken :)

    I am starting again from scratch. I have copied my website again into a brand new folder. This copied version of the site (linked to a different but duplicated database) is not working 100% correctly and I figure I must fix that before I move forward.

    If (read when) I need further help, I will start a new thread with a relavent title.
