html not working in products listing

Is there a reason why html is not working in the products listing?

Let me explain what I am referring to.
I am not referring to the single product listing. I am referring to the listing that you see when you click on the category. When you click on a category it lists all the products in that category. But it only displays the description of the product in text mode and does not show any color coding that you have in the text. However when I click on the product it will show the description and all the colored text that I have in the description.

Is there any way to may the colors show up in the category listing?

HTML is stripped from the product listing by default. See post #6 here to change that:

HTML is disabled in the product listing because if some markup were cut off when the text is truncated, you could get serious errors on the page. It is possible and easy to enable HTML as long as you take responsibility for ensuring that no markup is cut; search the forum for "zen_clean_html" for (old) posts describing the process.
