Search engine doesn't work after modifying advanced_search.php

I searched your website for "search engine broke and not working" and only found one closed thread. So, my apologies if this has already been addressed.

The search engine quit working when I modified advanced_search.php and moved it into my CUSTOM_FOLDER.

When I say "quit working", I mean, it started finding random unassociated products or no products at all for a simple search word like Hammaka or "Hammaka"...Hammaka returned random unassociated products while "Hammaka" returned no matches.

I removed the advanced_search.php from my CUSTOM_FOLDER and everything started working just fine again.

So, this leads me to believe that something is amiss in the programming concerning this file or the CUSTOM_FOLDER's association with this file...far beyond my limited knowledge of how this part of the program functions.

This is the only thing I changed in the file:

define('ENTRY_PRICE_RANGE', 'Search by Price Range / Free Shipping'); (added / Free Shipping)

I use Godaddy's installation of Zen Cart 1.5.1. I have installed the following plug-ins: EasyPopulate 4.0, ImageHandler4, UPS, and USPS.

On a side note: Volusion is making false claims about the capabilities of Zen Cart. I gave them an ear full yesterday about getting their facts straight before posting inaccurate information about the capabilities of Zen Cart.
