Default HELP!!! missing configure.php from live site!!!

    Need HELP!

while I am installing v151 on my demo site, however for some reason my live site got affected.
the demo site DB is a copy from my live site using MyPhp some some...
I have no problem access my demo admin panel,

I file a request to my webhost to see if they can help me out,
they told me that they can not see the configure.php under public_html folder,
I checked it, and it is not there >_<

can anyone tell me what to do?
I thought I can find a copy of configure.php from my backups, they it is no where to be found.

Can I copy the configure.php from Zen-Cart 1.5.1 and replace the configure.php from 1.3.8 for both /admin/ and /includes/ directories? will that work?
since my DB is the same for both my live and my demo site.

So, right there is a source of your issues, the databases for the two versions should have been different. Hopefully umade a backup of your live site before going through with all of this. The configure.php file should be located in the store's root directory/includes and store's root directory/your_admin_folder/includes. They are each a different folder and over time the configure.php file has been modified to apply to each new version. I can not say that a 1.5.1 version of the configure.php file won't workon an older version, but do know that there are differences between them.

You'd need to edit the paths and db settings.

That's BAD. If the db settings are identical in both your live and the upgrade site, then all the update stuff you've done in the upgrade site will have changed the database structure on the live site.

Should have made a 2nd database for the upgrade test.
