php 5.4 patches

the requirements pages list says that 1.5.1 requires some patches to work with PHP 5.4. Since I've not seen any information about this any where - what patches are necessary and where do I find the information?

Many have their 1.5.1 working with 5.4. Looks like setup and mods may make the difference if they use some of the new incompatible changes.
Be aware that one of the 5.4.# is vulnerable. I believe it's 5.4.2
