My store Takes 15 seconds to show a search result!

My Zencart v1.51 Takes 15 seconds to show a search result!

We run a website with about 250,000 products on it, when you search something it takes literaly 15 seconds to show a result.

Is there a way to only do an advance search for :Titles & Description.

Currently when a search is down i believe its searching: title, description, images name, meta tags, product models, etc.....

I really need to speed this up, because we are loosing alot of impatient customers.

any ideas or help would be much appreciated.

We have tried to switch this to "0" (search_in_description)

/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&search_in_description=1&keyword=

any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

You can rewrite the /includes/modules/pages/advanced_search_result/header_php.php to exclude things you no longer want to search.

But the problem might be with your database indexes.
