    Okay, putting a My Account link in the blank sidebox seems too difficult for me now (I know, even the simplest things can become big) and the More Information sidebox didn't appear when I turned it on. So I think I've solved my "issue" with the ezpage sidebox with just a link to My Account. Actually, the ezpage sidebox was my first thought since I've used it in the past.

    Now I'm thinking of a potentially more serious issue. The lack of text content on the homepage. The slide pics are very nice and dramatic but everything I've read here at zc indicates that there should be some text.

    And looking at the "main page text" in admin I just saw why I kept seeing the GHOST of the Winchester New/Featured home images: I brought it over to this template. duh. But trying text makes it hidden at the top near the logo. I wonder if text can be added maybe at the bottom below the slide? But that probably wouldn't look good.

    So the choice is looks vs content text?

    You need to turn off the banners from the winchester responsive templates. If you want them to show on the dover fine template you will need to adjust the z-index. The same is true of the home page text or any other page element that you want to add to the main page. Anything can be turned on, added, etc, but due the z-index on the background slide show, you will need to adjust the z-indexes of the elements so that they will show on top of the slide show.

    You could also add the content in a div below the slide show. There are many possibilites---no reason to choose between content and the slide show.

    As always, the free template packages are offered as a starting point. If you do not want to use them "out of the box", then you can modify them as you need to.

    Thanks,

    Anne

    Slideshow looks great in landscape, but is distorted in portrait view on my Android phone. (LG Optimus Pro). Is anyone else seeing the same??

    I think that must be another inherent issue related to Android devices. Distortion in all portrait orientations and responsive menus don't work at all on Android tablets.

    I know Anne is trying to work through the Android menu issues but there are so many variables that it must be a nightmare. 3 User agents for Apple devices. 180 user agents for Android devices from our GA stats. But Android accounts for 11% of the traffic.

    I would agree about the menus except I found menus in the Envato marketplace where the demos work on my Android tablets and phones.. So I'm not ready to give up on the menus yet..

    The slideshow is another story.. I've had NO ISSUES with the Nivo slideshow on other sites, so I'm thinking there's an adjustment on this slideshow that is needed..

    This template is using the supersized full screen slide show.

    Which menus from envato work for your android tablet?

    Thanks,

    Anne

    Hi Anne

    I know this got posted some time ago, but I need to add some content to the home page (just a video of the product) and I am really struggling.

    HTML code as follows (div in red)

    Code:
    <?php
        if ($this_is_home_page) {
    ?>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="includes/templates/dover_fine/jscript/jquery.easing.min.js"></script>
    		<script type="text/javascript" src="includes/templates/dover_fine/jscript/supersized.3.2.7.min.js"></script>
    		<script type="text/javascript" src="includes/templates/dover_fine/jscript/supersized.shutter.min.js"></script>

    		<script type="text/javascript">
    			jQuery(function($){
    			$.supersized({

    					// Functionality
    					slide_interval          :   3000,		// Length between transitions
    					transition              :   1, 		// 0-None, 1-Fade, 2-Slide Top, 3-Slide Right, 4-Slide Bottom, 5-Slide Left, 6-Carousel Right, 7-Carousel Left
    					transition_speed		:	700,		// Speed of transition
    					vertical_center: 0,
    			      autoplay:1,
    					// Components
    					slide_links: 'blank',	// Individual links for each slide (Options: false, 'num', 'name', 'blank')
    					slides 	:  	[// Slideshow Images

    <?php
                    $banner = $db->Execute("SELECT banners_id, banners_title, banners_image, banners_html_text, banners_open_new_windows, banners_url FROM " . TABLE_BANNERS . " WHERE status = 1 AND banners_group = 'homepageslide'");

                    if ($banner->RecordCount() > 0) {

     while (!$banner->EOF) {

    echo "{image : '" . HTTP_SERVER . DIR_WS_CATALOG . 'images/' . $banner->fields['banners_image'] . "', title : '" . '<p>' . $banner->fields['banners_title'] . '</p>' . "', url : '" . zen_href_link(FILENAME_REDIRECT, 'action=banner&goto=' . $banner->fields['banners_id']) . "'},";

    zen_update_banner_display_count($banner->fields['banners_id']);
                                    $banner->MoveNext();

    ?>
    							]

    				});
    		    });

    <?php

    CSS code (for now) is:

    Code:
    #vid { border: 1px #f00 solid; display: block; z-index: 100; }
    Please, any help is gratefully received.
