Large Image Upgrading

Hello, I notice many people leaving after clicking the LARGE IMAGE on product pages. I'm guessing this may be happening because the customers are taken to another page.

I tried installing "Product Image Zoom" but the 'read me' files says to first download the CSS/JS Loader before installing. When I did install the CSS/JS loader to my server, the site went blank. I honestly don't know what went wrong. I had to restore a previous download I had.

Is there a module similar to this one that is easier to install? Or does anyone know what went wrong when I installed the CSS/JS loader? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You could reinstall the cs loader mod, if you get a blank page there will be an error file created, post the content of the error file. Or there are several image viewers available such as Lightbox etc etc.

Hi picandnix, thanks for the reply. I'm thinking I probably uploaded the files to the wrong location.

Am I suppose to drop all the files where the root folder is showing or am I suppose to open the root folder first and than drop all files there, starting with the first folder that says "css js loader". Or am I suppose to open that folder and than drop whatever is inside of it to my server? Sorry, I hope I didn't confuse you.

I had tried installing the lightbox a while back and had a problem with it as well. Something that I must of did wrong, I guess. It worked fine in Firefox. But in IE, the light box randomly works and opens the image to the left, without the lightbox effect and I was not able to close the image when this happened.

Word on the street though is that the programmers of one of the core components of Zen Lightbox are no longer providing support, so there is likely to come a time in the not so distant future that light box may not work. (Yes I have it installed as well and like it too.) One other product suggested is colorbox which has recently been revamped to support mobile devices (I think lightbox was also but I forget.)

This is very true and the current maintainer of Zen Lightbox has said this is why he will not be doing any further upgrades on Zen Lightbox. (including any upgrades to make it mobile friendly)

Zen Colorbox is the module you refer to and it was written by the SAME author of Zen Lightbox. Zen Colorbox is also mobile friendly.

Yes it was, whether the four key strokes were not recorded or not pressed (mobile devices as you know), I did mean the module formally found by searching for Zen Colorbox. I was also trying not to alienate any other image handlers that might be of benefit/provide the results desired of the OP. :)
