Viewing Gallery Only Option

I would like to be able to provide a category for my customers where they can just view the product pictures. I do not want to have descriptions, prices, or anything of that nature. I simply want to display the images in one of my categories. I remember reading something about this option somewhere, but the only information I have been able to find about it involves downloads or plugins, which I would prefer not to use.

If a plugin is available and you like what it offers why not use it? It would be a waste of time to not use a plugin that has the functionality you want. But to expand, are all your products in this category have only 1 main image? Or do you want to display all additional images assocaited with each product also. Former would be easier to do while the latter would take a small amount of time to get it.

I'd agree about the plugin, if available, but you could assign those products to a different product type and edit the appropriate template file to remove the elements you don't want to display.
