help question Uploading multiple product photos via non-FTP

    Hello,

I want one of my employees to upload more than one photo per product. I know how to set this up and do this using an FTP program and what I need to do with the ZenCart to make this work. However, I do not want my employee to have access to all the files on my server via the FTP program. Is there a way that I can use some type of "Browse," "Upload File" type of thing like is done with the first photo on the product but for Photos 2 & 3, as well, or must those extra product photos be uploaded to the server only via an FTP program where all files will be viewed? Please let me know.

    Thanks! :-)

Search the Plugins for Image Handler 4 - that should do the trick for you

For uploading multiple files, FTP simply can't be beat. It is *designed* for that very purpose.

No offence, but you are clearly not all that familiar with FTP (else you wouldn't be asking this question).

    Assuming you have cPanel:

Click the icon for "FTP accounts"
In the section "Add FTP Account" add a username and password for your employee
In the "Directory" input box, enter the path to your 'images' folder.
Click the button 'Create FTP Account'

Give the username/password to your employee..

That's it. All done. Your employee will now only be able to access the /images/ folder (and its subfolders) via FTP

There simply isn't a better or easier method than this.

    Cheers

Idea or Suggestion Re: Uploading multiple product photos via non-FTP

Thank you both for your input. That Image Handler 4 is amazing and did exactly what I wanted! :-)
