Why are the attributes laying out this way? Code is coming from default product info page.

It is related to the css rules that are (or are not) in place. If you were to post a link to your site, I'm sure that someone will be able to help identify what to do to set them to look as you might expect them, or at least guide you further in setting the values. (Please see the posting tips to address other aspects that may be applicable to the issue.)
