No Sideboxes

Hi Everyone

My friend and I have a Zencart installation www.bigjuiceuk.co.uk

He was messing with another theme but his old theme was the Bask Black and worked 100% fine.

After many issues with the new theme he wanted he decided to go back to his original theme, however there are no no sideboxes on the right. I have refreshed all the files and upgraded the database and also re uploaded all the files for the old theme yet it is still the same.

I have reset the layout boxes and still the same.

I am now out of options and need some help ASAP please ..

Also I have noticed there is no product images below the 2 main page images ??

Log into admin and go to Tools > Layout Boxes Controller

There should be a listing of configs.

Look at the column 'LEFT or RIGHT COLUMN'

What do you see? Are all the boxes set to LEFT?

If so, edit each of the boxes you want to appear on the RIGHT, set the sort order and you should be fine.

Then there is the 'LEFT/RIGHT COLUMN Status' column. Are the boxes set to on or off?

Also: scroll to the bottom of that page and you should find a 'RESET' button. Hit that button and it resets all the boxes for that template (theme) to the default.

The source of your pages suggests that the right column may turned off in Admin - Configuration - Layout Settings.

You are spot on, thank you, what about the loss of the product images that usually appear below the images in the centre of homepage ?? think they were latest products or something.

Scrap that found that under the index options. Strange how these values have changed but never been touched, can a custom theme do this without knowing to make the theme work right ??

Yes, if the custom template includes a SQL patch for the database. Otherwise, no.
