Salemaker not loading

I have 25000 products and 17000 categories, salemaker isn't loading.

I presume it is timing out, is there anyway to get salemaker to show debug so I can see if it is a timeout, or out of memory issue.

Are you putting all the Categories on Sale?

What happens is when the Categories are selected, the Products in those Categories are running the updater on the products_price field ...

This can take time depending on how many Categories/Products that the SaleMaker is actually being applied to ...

Have you a little more detail on how many Categories/Products your SaleMaker is affecting?

It loads no further than

Is there a timeout built into salemaker.php

Various sales affect all the categories and all the products.

If I click add new sale it goes wrong also.

Drawing the initial SaleMaker screen with 17000 categories is trying to draw 17000 lines with the checkbox ...

Would you be able to apply the same discount as a Special if you could just enter the discount amount/percentage and Category categories_id of the Special?

This is not currently part of Zen Cart, but something I have been fooling with on and off ...

I would be able apply a sale to a selected category ID by entering a number IF it were to apply the sale to all categories below it in the tree.

SaleMaker is a real pain for large sites with tons of Categories (16,000+) and Products (24,000+) ...

Specials would be easier, but the Specials are normally set one by one, which can be very painful ...

I have created additional features for Specials where you can select the Category and set the Special Price/Percentage as well as the date (manually typing it in at this time) and include or exclude the subcategories ...

This will also be in a future release of Zen Cart ...

Backup your database and try using these new files for your /admin (make sure you put them in your /your_secret_admin directory ...

See if this is able to help you ...

Your Directory with 10,000 Products will take 30-60 seconds so be patient ...

Or, you can go into subdirectories to set them as well ...

There is also a feature to add Specials by Manufacturers ...

This includes a way to Remove the Specials as well by Category or Manufacturer ...
