    help question Define Pages Error

    Define pages in the admin will let me edit what the pages SHOULD say, but then only the Main Page and Shipping page actually change. I've tried tracing the pages back to where the original text says they are stored (under languages>English>html_includes...found pages with the original text in them, sure enough) and changed them by hand locally and overwrote what was on the FTP. STILL doesn't show the proper information on the store site. Where the heck are these other pages pulling from, and how can I change them? Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer!

    Are you using a custom template, and are the define pages copied to that folder?

    I'm using the classic template that the 1.5.1 comes with (the green and off white), souped up a little by way of what I have pulling into the page via the product descriptions and the code built into the Define Pages template, which usually works perfectly. All it's changing is the font color and adding a background image, so it doesn't mess with the main coding much at all. Never had a problem before with it.

    The pages in question show in my list of them in both includes>languages>english>html_includes and further in includes>languages>english>html_includes>classic. If they are supposed to show somewhere else, I'm not sure to look for them there. If you tell me they should additionally show somewhere else, I can try moving them to that folder as well to test it.

    Thanks again.

    Okay, I have been looking at similar problems, and it doesn't seem any of those are my issue. I thought, at first, that changing the permissions from 644 to 777 (noted in another similar thread) might do something for me, but that failed too. I ran a search of my backup store to see where the files that show correctly are and where those that show incorrectly are, and they are stored in the same places. At this point, I am as clueless as always as to why the Main Page and Shipping page show correctly, but none of the others do.

    Browser cache, maybe? If you can provide a link to the site we can let you know what we're seeing on the affected pages.

    I tried clearing cache earlier, to no avail. Here is the main page of the store...

    http://www.firebornpublishing.com/store/

    If you click for the Shipping and Returns page, you can see it matches the main page in style and has my entry on it. If you click the others? Not updated. I've changed what the pages SHOULD show (both in define pages AND on the FTP) and no dice. I'm really at a loss to explain it, at this point.

    I don't see the background image spec in the other pages, but that's probably not the best way to do that anyway. I try to avoid inline styling and use the stylesheet. This would be better:

    #privacyBody {background-image: url(../images/header_bg.jpg);
