Default Upgrade to v.1.5.3 database issue

    Hi,

I have upgraded (on test section on my server) from v.1.5.0 to v.1.5.3. After completing install and uploading all custom files and mods, I uploaded my existing database (to a new database that I created) and ran the DB update in zc_installer. Everything ran fine, but no customer info, order history, etc. shows in admin. It is like it is not reading the database. I have checked in MySQL in Cpanel and see that the new database has the right mb of data (216mb) but for some reason it is not reading it properly.

I have checked and re-checked my config files to insure that they are pointing to this new database.

Anyone have any ideas what I have done wrong??

Thanks in advance for your help,

    Jeff

Is DB_PREFIX the same in your new configure.php as it was on the old site? If not, then it's looking for the wrong set of tables in the database.

    Hi Dr. Byte,

Thanks for your reply. Yes my DB_Prefix is the same in my new configure. The one thing that I found when I was checking and rechecking yesterday was my old database was iso-8859-1. I changed my config and language files to reflect this and ran the database update once again from zc_install but still no luck. I then downloaded the convert_db add on that you had made to convert my database to utf8, changed the config and language files and reran the update database and still nothing.

Do you have any other suggestions??

    Thanks for your help,

    Jeff

In double checking my DB-Prefix I see an underscore in my old config and not in my new config. I will post back once I have made the change and try this out.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

    Hi Dr.Byte,

Yes this was the exact issue! I was missing the underscore after the word in my database prefix. Thanks so much for your help!

    Best regards,

    Jeff
