products, categories and the media manager

My mp3 clip samples will not show up on the store front, which is how this whole mess got started.

My z-cart gives me a 404 when I try to define a new musical product. The media manager tells me that my musical categories have no products(not true). I have restored all that I can from backups with no luck.

I am dead in the water. This forum is no help so I'm moving on to some other e-commerce product.

I followed everything by the book, which I purchased. I am no dummy. I can't afford to spend any more time debugging.

I was going to say to check your .htaccess to see if it either prevents or permits accessing files with that extension and if the directory(ies) in question are writeable. It's not ZC that is preventing this as it is possible to have any media type on the server for download, if other settings are correct.

But seeing as you have posted twice sometime in the last 36 hours, I guess you've given it your all.
