Default 2 Column and Grid View

I know everyone says it but I really am new to Zen Cart and am working on getting my site up and running. I have been able to figure a few things out and felt like I was making some progress but I seem to be stuck on a couple layout issues.

    Here is my site: http://www.photoinvitations.us

Here is what I would like my site to look like. (I don't think they are using Zen Cart but I am just referring to the layout of the catalog.)
    http://www.basicinvite.com/save-the-date.html

    1. I have added a few products onto the site and would like the products to in the category to behave like they do on the home page or on the example url in a grid view instead of a list.

    2. The second issue that I am having is I don't see a way of removing the third column to the right in order to have a 2 column layout and fit more products.

    3. If I am able to remove the 3rd column is there a way I can add the search bar to the left hand side?

This is most likely beginner stuff that are just a few simple clicks but I am apparently missing them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1 - Install Column Layout Grid from Plugins.

    2 - Admin > Configuration > Layout Settings > Column Right status - global.

3 - Admin > Tools > Layout Boxes Controller. You can choose which sideboxes are on, and which column they are in, and in what order.

These questions and many more are covered in the E-Start Your Website book, link at the bottom of this page. It is very worthwhile for setting up and operating a website, though not meant as an appearance/customization design guide (aside from basic turning on/off and layout).
