Both Product Import Addons Not Working

The two ones I have tried are Easy Populate and Excel Populate.

Easy Populate:

I have formatted everything just as the Wiki says and have confirmed the csv file IS comma-delimited. Hell, even though I am not using model #'s I even prefilled some ones I made up. I go to import and it gives me a different error!!!!

MySQLi error 1366: Incorrect integer value: '' for column 'products_discount_type' at row 1
When executing:
INSERT INTO products

Why does it say something about 'products_discount_type' when the Wiki mentions nothing about that column??!?!?

Excel Populate:

Attempt to import, gives no error, imports no products.

Any help is appreciated, because it's getting pretty aggravating!

Try Apsona Shopadmin, it makes these plugins here look stone age.

Besides that, Easy Populate has/uses at minimum the columns you saw in the wiki, there are others that are available and can be used. It appears that when the data being imported (in this case nothing) is blank it is not passing a 0 to the database and the database didn't/doesn't like that. :)

This sounds like an Excel vs text/csv encoding type error. I have heard that Open Office does a better job of handling CSV files.

I have modified one version of Easy Populate to actually enter Model numbers. Its VERY rough but it works.

Ive tried them all and in my experience apsona shopadmin is the one that does the trick the best!
