Product Description Deletes

I had my website for over 7 years and had no recent problems with my hosting company.
This just recently starting happening, when I make changes to an existing product all the information clears. Sometimes it's only the description, sometimes it's description, price & title. The photos are always visible and it only happens to some of the products.
Also, sometimes when I create a new product I type in the whole description and then after I confirm it, the entire product description deletes. The title, price & photos are all that are left. Even if I go back and retype the information is continues to remain blank when it is confirmed and live.

It's most likely your PHP version. Zencart 1.3.X isn't compatible with PHP 5.4 and up. There's no patch I'm aware of. This is another good (vital, even) reason to upgrade your Zencart store as each upgrade becomes available.

There are many others that have been in the same situation reporting the same results and have had to take the same action described by stevesh. Please follow the guidelines posted in the FAQ, officially posted elsewhere on this site, or the documents of the downloaded version of ZC available from http://www.zen-cart.com/getit. On performing the upgrade, please follow each step, carefully, and continue to ask questions as necessary in the appropriate thread(s).

What they both said. If you are in the US, you really should have updated a while ago, because the only versions that are pci compliant are 1.5.0, and up.

Thank you. I am not in the US. I use to have someone else doing all my web maintenance but now I am doing it on my own. (And learning...slowly!)

I've heard of cases where the hosting company will roll back the PHP version to accommodate earlier Zencart versions on request, but you need to start your upgrade right away.

I contacted my hosting company and they will not role back the PHP, I believe to due to security reason. I use to have someone maintaining my website, but they are no longer working with this program anymore. I would like someone to help me again. Would anyone have a reliable recommendations of someone to help, small company and/or freelancer? Some of this stuff is like foreign language to me! Please let me know. Thank you for your time & help!
