Issue with Attributes Setup

I have followed the instructions for setting up attributes and linked them to a test item. I started out with an issue writing to the database, dupe ID. Found a thread with instructions on how to correct the problem. Did so and was able to set up attributes, all as a dropdownlist as my attributes are weights/sizes of products.

Unfortunately, after attaching a couple of attributes to a test item I still see radio buttons. And both are selected. There is no way to select just one attribute and when add it to my cart, one of each size is added. What is wrong??? How can I get a dropdownlist to display instead of radio buttons? If I must stick with radio buttons, then how can I get them to not both be selected and to allow the customer to select the size they wish to order?

You appear to have setup 2 Option Names and each has 1 Option Value ...

Option Name dropdowns with only 1 Option Values will be radiobuttons ...

I think what you really need is 1 Option Name with multiple Option Values ...
