Missing alt tags on category images

Hi Everyone

I am running Zen Cart 1.5.1 with no uppgrades
I am using ultimate SEO URL and also have a templatemonster template running

My URL is www.avinstalls.co.uk

My problem is with imag alt tags for the category page catergory image all other alt tags function correctly. When I look at the page source the alt tags for the category image are alt= ""

I have uploaded the classic green template in the hope it may have been a template issue but the same probelm persists.
I have also looked through and compared the tpl index categories php and tpl index pproduct info php and cant see any errors to the original files

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what generates the image alt tags it is working for all other images ie product info images and sub categories it also works on the category icons on the home page.

While looking at the URL you mentioned, I'm having trouble finding those symptoms.
Can you be more specific?

As a quick aside....

You should get into the habit of NAMING your images correctly...

Many of your images are a combination of upper and lower case, and there are spaces between the words.

Images (like all filenames on Linux) should be lower case only, no special characters, no spaces.

Words in the name split by hyphens will be seen as separate words by Google (if you elect to have your images indexed) and images where words are separated by underscores will be seen as single words.

Thanks for your response sorry for not pproviding the coreect URL

The problem occurs on all category pages the main image alongside the descripption text does not have an alt tag please see this page

When I look at the source code for this the alt tag is blank

Alt tags appear fine for pproducts and for sub categorys it just seem to be the parent category that is problematic.

Optimal efficiency is important these days, not just for SEO but for user experience.

While it is not a "mission critical" issue, it will be helpful if you make sure that images are appropriately named. When you come across an image that has not been named properly, change it.

Later - when you have a few hours to spare, go through all images and correct them.
