Reasons 'Not Shipping to Your Area' might start to happen?

Hi, is there any reason why the 'not shipping' message might have started appearing?

Not Available At This Time
Sorry, we are not shipping to your region at this time.


I had an order today already, but now the message appears on ALL products which previously worked.

Free Shipping is set up on ALL products as standard (they're only downloads)

Is this something that must have updated, or been changed in the store or my host...? Is there a way to see a log of any recent changes / updates made?

I notice others in the forum have reported this as an issue and then followed up with 'oh it's working now' ...?

Previously when we've had this issue it was because the product wasn't set up correctly but that's not happened in years

Product is Virtual:
Always Free Shipping:

And then on the Attributes, do all the Attributes have a download file?

Our shipping setup has always been - for years - as below, with the free shipping module installed...


Product is Virtual: Yes, Skip Shipping Address No, Shipping Address Required

Always Free Shipping: Yes, Always Free Shipping No, Normal Shipping Rules


1. When I changed a product to 'Yes, Always Free Shipping' it went through checkout.

2. Some other orders came in that also went through checkout - including one that 'was' changed and one that wasn't - but I think these went straight through PayPal Express?

3. On the orders since this issue happened this morning, there is no 'box' that shows the files on the server, no of downloads etc, wish my screenshot thing was working :-/

4. Oh, and seems there's also no Download buttons in customer accounts.

Yes, nothing changed, been working fine

So, this is the one that does now work because I changed it to 'Yes, Always Free Shipping'

*BUT* even though this 'works' in that it gets through without the 'not shipping' message, there are no download buttons in Customer account.

What has me a tad confused is that I thought you said everything is a download product, but these two look like regular physical Products without downloads on them ...

Are they suppose to be download products or physical products?

If they are physical products, have you always had both download products and physical products in your shop?

They are downloads, always have been, I don't sell physical...

Oh wait, when you say they don't 'look' like downloads you mean because the 'download 1 of 1' attribute thing isn't there?

Because I do not see the attribute on the product_info and I do not see the download showing in the shopping_cart ...

I knew I should have not worked until the silly hours this morning - I looked at the last 'working' order which was 0023 today, just before I started messing with the tpl, so it hit me...I commented out the Attributes Module in tpl_product_info_display because I didn't want them taking up so much space on the page, thought template files just affected how it 'looks' - some of them have download 1 of 13...all the way down the page - any way to not have all that on show, or at least make a lot smaller, but still work?

If understood correctly you want to hide either all of the buttons and associated text of any download attribute information on a product page, or you want to at least hide all of the extras after the first.

The information still needs to be served to the web browser, but it doesn't need to be visible. Usually the text/images/controls/etc are hidden via CSS. I have bookmarked this page to address some of the aspects of doing this type of change. The details are specific to the individual asking the question(s), but the process/outcome is similar. There is a lot of information in the wiki on the various css files that can be modified/adjusted and I think there is even a specific file in the includes/templates/default_template/css folder that contains the same (or. Sufficiently minimal) detailed information.
