    Default Advanced Attributes question

Hey guys, I have an advanced attribute question

I do not know if I am asking too much here from attributes, I will try to be as descriptive as possible.

My issue is that the lowest price attribute seems to push itself up even if sort order is last.

Here is a pic of how my normal items are

I have item PRICED BY ATTRIBUTES, meaning I list this product in price at 7200 and I put it on special for 6095, each of the attributes are checkboxes, live item shown here http://bocahydro.com/index.php?main_...oducts_id=1324

This is fine, however I had to make multiple listings for each size of that item, and each has different attributes, my overall goal was to have 1 listing which might prove to be too hard.

Here is the product I am working on, I set price to 0 and priced by attributes is not selected which I do NOT like, my site is laid out to have all the prices with a special in category which people like and want, I do not want to have a 0.00 there. I like having the lowest price of that model with special then when you click it you see the prices of different add ons or whatever, problem is when I hit priced by attributes it auto selects the cheapest option which is the gable end of 115$

I want it to stay as the main product with special and no matter what the attributes are priced at ,to stay in the order I want them, am I asking too much?

now I just finished with the item ,

    Base item http://bocahydro.com/index.php?main_...oducts_id=1330

    1 add on http://bocahydro.com/index.php?main_...oducts_id=1331

    1 attribute add on http://bocahydro.com/index.php?main_...oducts_id=1332

basically I don't want to have them separate and I want to see a base model price in category and have EVERYTHING on one listing as I have 2000 models of greenhouses to list !

    help : )

    Boca,

Have you heard anything on this? I have a similar issue. So I will bump your bump ;)

Can't post our 1.53 site yet as it is still in test, but on my live site (v1.50), I have half a dozen products with a zero base price as, like your greenhouses, the attributes can have a huge impact on price.

I don't want to list the expensive item with a discount for a cheaper model, since the customer might be turned off by the high ticket item before they actually get to the product level. Similarly, I don't want to seem to be employing a bait and switch tactic by listing a starting at lowball price, and then giving them a much higher price, when they see the product they actually wanted. For one particular product the most popular version IS the most expensive, but with that said, we still sell many of the lower tiered option. BTW, multiple products is not the answer either as except for one simple (albeit financially important) attribute these are the same product. I don't want excess clutter in the shop by listing what is essentially the same product 3-6 times.

Setting the price to zero worked perfectly in 1.50, but it is giving me all kinds of dramas in 1.53. Not sure it this is new template related, but I think not.

I know I will hear send us the links, but at the moment I can't as there is too much being tested on the test site that MIGHT impact this issue. I'm just hoping that someone sees that there is some issue with how 1.51 + handle priced by attributes . . .

Oh and if it offers any clues, what happens with these products in the test site is that they lose the template formatting if they have a zero price.
