Shipping price set per product

I could have swore that ZC had a plugin that would allow you to set the shipping price on each product. Most of my products are flat rate shipping and they vary from product to product. Am I imagining things? Does this exist? Is there a way to get that feature?
Example:
Item A cost $xxx to ship anywhere in US
Item B cost $xxx to ship anywhere in US
Item C cost $xxx to ship anywhere in US
Item D cost $xxx to ship anywhere in US
Item E cost $xxx to ship anywhere in US

I thought there was a slot in the adding products part where you could specify a shipping amount. I thought it was a separate plugin you had to add.

Any ideas?

If by your example you mean:

Example:
Item A quantity * cost $xxx to ship anywhere in US
Item B quantity * cost $xxx to ship anywhere in US
Item C quantity * cost $xxx to ship anywhere in US
Item D quantity * cost $xxx to ship anywhere in US
Item E quantity * cost $xxx to ship anywhere in US

Then you can use the Per Unit perweightunit shipping module where you set the Product Weight to the shipping cost for that Product ...

Then, in the Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging ... set the Maximum Weight to 5000 and the Tare Rates to 0:0 ...

And create a Zone Definition for the US and add that to the Per Unit perweightunit shipping module ...

What happens if someone tries to ship outside of your Zone Definition for the US?

I could see where that would work but I need to keep it very simple for my friends. It took me 5 years to convince them to get an online store. It's an older couple and I don't want to confuse them with a lot of extra figures they have to make. Like if they get ready to add another product. Wouldn't they have to create a shipping weight for it if it wasn't already set up?

What I was thinking that there was a plugin that added a feature in the add products page where you could add the shipping cost right there. Must have been another program but I could have sworn it was Zen cart. Just a simple flat rate for each product individually as your entering the product into the store.
When they sell a product they know how much they are going to charge to ship without any USPS feeds or anything. Product A is $xx for US shipping, Product B is $xx for US shipping.

Shipping to Other countries is a Call for Quote usually. They mostly ship inside the US.

If I can't find a way to do this or purchase a plugin that will do this I may have to use another type cart. I love Zen cart because if I ever have a problem I can usually find assistance or a plugin to help with what I need.

And is telling them when they Add/Edit a Product to enter the Shipping Cost in the Product Weight a problem?

It sounds pretty simple to me, if you want a shipping cost set that is specific to a Product ...

So If you want to charge $1.25 for shipping, enter 1.25 on the Product Weight ... this makes the shipping charges for the Product:
Qty 1 $1.25
Qty 2 $2.50
Qty 3 $3.75

If you want to charge $1.00 for shipping, enter 1.00 on the Product Weight ... this makes the shipping charges for the Product:
Qty 1 $1.00
Qty 2 $2.00
Qty 3 $3.00

That sounds simple enough. Guess it seemed more confusing first time I read it. Let me try that and see how it works. I'm going to owe you big time by the time they get through. I thought it was going to be simple but they keep throwing all these extra "wants" in there. Just like with the Idev Affiliates. Was supposed to integrate easily. It did except for the one feature they have to have. "Per Product Commissioning". Still have to figure out that one, but one thing at a time. Thanks for the reference to the post. I will be experimenting with that next. It may come down to them hiring a Pro to get it all setup and working like they want and then me just Maintaining it for them when needed.

Hey Ajeh. You rock! That worked real slick. I even edited a few of the pages to change it to read "Shipping Cost" instead of "Shipping Weight". I turned off the show Shipping weights but they still show in the checkout. That's ok if I could find where to get rid of the "lbs" after the product weight in the shopping cart. Any ideas? Check PM please.
