Help with mySQL errors (error 28 from storage engine, incorrect key file for table)

Unfortunately, the site is running on a shared server and there's no way to control/monitor the usage % on the /tmp directory. My options (other than finding another host!) are to either move to a different shared server or to upgrade my server package. Arggh!

It's just funny that each of the errors occur at the same point (show fields from orders_status_history).

Is there a lot of wasted space consumed by old debug log files, or backups of old images or old site versions, etc? If so, then perhaps it's just your own hosting account that's out of space (regardless of what folder).

Thanks for that, DrByte. I'll look into what the site's file quota might be.
