There are two settings in the Configuration ... Product Listing ...
For the Alpha Sorter filter:
For the Manufacturers filter:Include Product Listing Alpha Sorter Dropdown
Do you want to include an Alpha Filter dropdown on the Product Listing?
true
false
Display Category/Manufacturer Filter (0=off; 1=on)
Do you want to display the Category/Manufacturer Filter?

The HTML in your template which is producing that bar is:
You'll need to dig into your template to figure out why that's been put there and what its purpose is.HTML Code:<div class="tie2"> <div class="tie2-indent"> </div> </div>
You might also consider changing the CSS for .tie2 or .tie2-indent if you don't want to remove the HTML but wish it would display without the colour.[TR]
