weird transaction

Hello,
i just got an order for only $2 which is actually low item fee,it has no name,no transaction ID, but it was recorded as separate order

i dont understand...
the $11.20 amount you see is a refund i just did thru Paypal/

We have paypal express checkout, paypal web pro,usps....no other special plugins
The problem just appeared...the $11.20 that you see is actually a refund a made thru paypal....I can see the $11.20 but not sure what the $2 means and why it says gift certificate?

I just got another transaction in my cart for the same amount $2...
I ha d to do some refunds yesterday and i wonder if thats connected somehow?
I googled the IP that shows in the order and it comes back as a Paypal IP.....I really need some explanation.Thanks

Way back when v1.3.9 was popular there were some reports of orders being processed as "paid by Gift Certificate/Coupon" but were really supposed to be paid by something else like paypal or credit card etc.

There have been hundreds of bugfixes and feature improvements since v1.3.9 was published back in 2010. So many that I can't remember what got changed in the code to fix that problem.
It's a good reason to start planning to do an upgrade to a more modern version.

It seems like Paypal has charged us a $1 for 4 of the refunds because there were not sufficient funds in Paypal(even thoug on our end it showed like we do have enough funds)....Why would these charges appear under Orders though?
And yes....we will be upgrading next year to a newer version...Thanks
