Default Trying to implement a live support applet on my site

    Hi all,

I wonder if you could help me please?

I am trying to implement a live support applet on my site. I want this box to appear on every page.

I have successfully managed to make it appear on the pages managed within 'Tools -> Define Pages Editor' however cannot get it to display globally.

I tried adding the code into the 'index.php' page but then this just returned a blank page.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks
    Stu

To appear on every page, you should not put it into Define Pages.

It should all go in your template. You should put stuff for <head> inside the html_header.php and stuff for <body> should go in tpl_header.php or tpl_footer.php or tpl_main_page.php

Use your FTP program to access the PHP files on your server, and navigate to the /includes/templates/NAME_OF_YOUR_TEMPLATE/common folder.

By the sound of your question you've probably never heard of FTP and won't know how to log into your server with it. Your hosting company will have all of those instructions and your login credentials ... presumably in their FAQ documents or with a call to their support desk.

After you've gained access to your server's PHP files, there are several articles about Zen Cart template concepts available in the Zen Cart FAQs area ... the link is at the top of this page.
