In your admin go to Catalog > Product Types. Click on the "General Product", and click the "Edit Layout" button on the right. What is the value of "Show Product Additional Images"?

Are all of these images the additional image(s) or is one of them supposedly the main image?

If any of them are "considered" to be the main image, then the naming method is not in accordance with the guide.

The additional images must contain the base name of the main image and additional text... So in the first case, the main image could be:
    http://rodsy.com/images/rodsy_base_with_spikes.jpg
And the subsequent images would appear as additional images to that, provided your template supports additional images and additional images is enabled in your admin.

In the second case the main image could be named/stored:
    http://rodsy.com/images/rb.jpg

and then any image that begins with rb will be shown as an additional image... This is where uniqueness of image names (within a set directory) becomes a bit of an issue.

Again, so the examples I provided could be your base file name, and all the other images (whichever set of filenames chosen) would be an additional image...

As was pointed out you are on the right track but not quite there.. That tutorial is cool, but on a re-read today, I can see that can be a little confusing and unclear.. So let me pull out the SIMPLE explanation of what you need to do from that tutorial..

    Original Image: fred.jpg

All of these are considered additional images because they contain the base image name PROVIDED you are in the /images directory:

    fredabc.jpg
    fred_73b2.jpg
    fred_01.jpg
    fred_02.jpg
    freddy.jpg
    fredrick.jpg
So using your images here's how you SHOULD have named them:

    Main Image: rodsy_base_with_spikes.jpg

    Additional Images:
    rodsy_base_with_spikes_00.jpg
    rodsy_base_with_spikes_01.jpg
    rodsy_base_with_spikes_02.jpg

Any images which INCLUDE "rodsy_base_with_spikes" in the name will be considered additional images. For example:
    rodsy_base_with_spikes_apartridgeinapeartree.jpg

If renaming the images doesn't work MAKE SURE you have additional images turned on..

Finally I noticed on some products you have spaces in your files names.. You'll want to NOT do that..

Good Catch, that fixed the multiple picture issue. Now I just need to fix the sizing issue. Any ideas?

Could be a number of things, but first off would suggest providing the settings for your images and describe your situation further. Tried while using the default template and have the same issue?

When you click on the "Large" image, it is distorted.
