    Default modifying the Define_Main_Page.php

OK, I want to give my main page some pizzaz.

(yes I'm new and not sure how to ask for what I'm looking for)

I go to Tools>define pages editor> then open up the define_main_page.php

In this entry box is where I want to add/edit/copy some nice fonts, wording and colors and possibly a picture.

Is there a way I can create a nice page (somewhere else, say Word) and then cut and paste it to the place I edit this?

I believe this is currently written in html

Not from Word, no. While it's possible, Word and other WYSIWYG editors add a lot of styling garbage which can slow down your page load and cause display problems. If you don't want to code the HTML yourself (my choice), you can install this HTML editor:

thanks, can you give me an overview of how the HTML editor would work before I try to add it on.

See the demo here: http://ckeditor.com/demo#standard ... The plugin is basically the "Standard" editor in that demo.

(Any pictures you want to add you'll have to use FTP to put them onto your server first, and then you can reference them using the editor. You can't upload them directly using the editor.)
