does ZC automatically generate a xml site map file for search engine ? If so, where would i be able to find it ? IF not, if i generate the xml then where should i place it ?

Does not without using a plugin (sitemap xml I think it's called), main xml file typically goes in the store's root... It can reference other xml files stored elsewhere (plugin mentioned above does this.)
