What do you mean by "list is gone"?
Is the entire page blank? See http://www.zen-cart.com/content.php?124-blank-page
Is just the dropdown menu empty See the debug logs as per the above link.
What happened just before these symptoms started? What did you do to cause the problem initially? And what did you do "before that", too? ie: how can we recreate those symptoms ourselves on another site?

1.5.1 I ftp a new template onto server and when i wen to change the template i noticed that it was blank where it should have listed 4 or 5. I clicked on the blank space and it defaulted to the default template and now I have no option to change it back to my original finished one.

Have you tried removing the files associated with the new template? Does that get rid of the blanks?

It's also possible that the "blank space" and "missing information" has to do with an admin-level myDEBUG-adm-*.log file (present in your ZC v1.5.1 /logs folder).

Just remember, if you're posting the contents of an admin-level log, to xxx-out your admin-folder's name!

Ok. I found the issue. It seems that all of my template_info.php files had been removed somehow. Thanks.
