    Default Performance Question

Has any one noticed any performance issues when reaching roughly 1200 products / 2500 customers - a client if mine has been asking me as they are saying the diet is running slowly (front and back end).

I know most carts say unlimited categories / products etc but with Zen Cart what is a more realistic description of the limitations. The client wants improvements otherwise wants me to move to other software.

No addons have been installed although the theme is not the default - pretty much a bare bones site with just branding changes.

...roughly 1200 products / 2500 customers, that is about the size of one of the stores I am managing for a client. That store has been running smoothly from day one (originally installed as 1.3.9h, now 1.5.4).

Your client may want to try a different computer connected via a different ISP. Alternatively, it could be a server issue... (overloaded???)

Those stats are pretty meaningless if the test was performed on the index page.

Page size 157kb? I guess the page doesn't contain much in the way of images either.

    Just sayin'

Well, I'm sure you mean well, but it's not the index page and it does have images (and script and css [and > 10k products]), and it's no more or less meaningful than any other reply, and it's definitely not the most meaningless... just sayin'...
