Default All Admin emails now sent as HTML

    Hi,

I installed swguy's MailChimp Newsletter Sidebox on a test store and everything was fine. I then installed the same on my live store and now all Admin emails are being sent as html.

    I have:
    Email Admin Format? TEXT

Any ideas on what may have caused this? I have done a compare of my test and live stores and can't see any difference which may relate to my problem.

If I change "Use MIME HTML When Sending Emails" to false then they are sent as text but obviously emails to customers are in text too.

    I'm stumped

    Kind regards,

    Brent

Do you have a "Customer Account" in your store using the same email address as your Store Admin? If so, it's using the email-format-preference from that customer record to override your default admin setting.

Thank you DrByte that was indeed the cause. It was used to test the MailChimp integration. On the test store another email was used hence the difference.

I scoured the forums and the only posts I could find covered the reverse problem so hopefully this will now help future users.

    Thanks again!
