Problem with SEO URLs

Using hyphens to separate words in URL phrases is important to both user readability and search engine optimization. Google recommends using hyphens (-) instead of underscores (_) in URLs because hyphens are treated as spaces between words, while words connected by underscores are viewed as one word.

And how to use Alternative URLs (with " " replaced by a "-") has already been answered in the other thread. Of course one still needs to ensure they are naming the product / category / ezpage in a friendly manner :)



NOTE: There are at least two Alternate URL plugins for Zen Cart which replace " " with a "-" by default when generating alternative URLs based on product / category / ezpage names.
