    Default System Setup / Settings

I will be installing Zen Cart and I found a great template. Just to make sure, am I supposed to install the template first and then set up the System Settings as mentioned in the thread below or vice-versa?

    http://www.zen-cart.com/content.php?177

    Thanks!

I always recommend that you get your store up and running first, then worry about templates, so follow the tutorial first.

Hopefully that template is not one of the commercial ones. Most are "purdy" but turn out to be pretty much of a headache.
    A little help with colors.

The template I'm thinking of installing is either:

    http://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1739

    or

    http://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1869

I haven't decided on which one yet. Are they the kind you're talking about?

I just thought it may be easier to use a template as I don't know anything about php codes. Will these 2 make it easier for me?

    Thanks.

You can't go wrong with a template from Picaflor Azul. dbltoe was talking about commercial templates from places like Template Monster - stay well away from them. My point was that the best-looking ecommerce site on the Web won't make any money if it doesn't work properly, so get things operating easily for your customers first.
