Which sidebox would you like to add the image to? And do you have any templates installed?

You can add the image link to either
includes/templates//YOUR_TEMPLATE/sideboxes/tpl_nameofyoursidebox.php
or
includes/modules/sideboxes/YOUR_TEMPLATE/nameofyoursidebox.php
Zen Admin -> Tools -> Layout Boxes Controller
will allow you to see the sidebox and location you have active and set for the left or right columnTwitch.
