Searching General Questions

Many times I search the forum and many times I never get close to what I am looking for. I have used the advance search and all the search parameters still have no joy. So at that point I put up a question, only to find a similar question a couple of weeks later

What is the best way to search so that duplicate questions are not put up?

I find google is often the best way to search the forum.

Start your search with Zen Cart , and then followed with your question

This is a method I use as well as necessary and unfortunately is an area lacking in the forum software. Not to mention that usually other related searches seem to omit more recent similar posts.

Like we've both stated/eluded. It's not a one size fits all, don't forget to check the similar related links at the bottom of returned pages and consider modifying the search terms,etc..
