    Default Google Mobilegeddon today

Well I have been wishing for quite some time for ZC mobile version. And now, if you have seen the news, Google is going to penalize websites that don't address scalability.

What's a ZC user to do?

I know that this would be a Major rework and require tons of manhours and womanhours. But it most certainly has to take precedence over many other current works in progress.

    Does anyone agree?

It was my understanding that the various 'responsive' templates, especially those from Picaflor Azul, meet Google's standards.

So would that count as a disagree or an agree? :)

Also. Are these responsive templates for use with a parallel mobile site or does it give a regular desktop version that will change for mobile users? Google is adamant about a simple redirect to a mobile site. They are opposed to that plan.

No, google has stated that it prefers a responsive design to a separate mobile site:

    https://developers.google.com/webmas...t-config?hl=en

You can do a google search to find tons of articles about why a responsive design is better than a separate mobile site.

    Thanks,

    Anne

You misunderstood my post anne. I said that google was opposed to a separate mobile site. Read it again.

It is the way of the future and has been widely espoused for nigh on a decade.

The concepts are not hard to grasp or even apply yourself and there is plenty of help around.

Resisting change is a bit like trying to hold your breath under water.
