Currency symbol problem

In my checkout using GBP (sterling) as currency I am getting it returned as £10.00 instead of £10.00.

Please can anyone advise me of how to overcome this even if it means dropping the £ symbol.

In the Symbol Left, try using:

In the Configuration ... E-Mail ... set:

Convert currencies for Text emails
What currency conversions do you need for Text emails?
Example = £,£:€,€
£,£:€,€:®,®:™,™
