Default Loaded large number of product with Easy Populate now multiple images on each product

    EasyPopulate v 1.2.5.4

I have just added approx 450 New products too my site using Easy Populate. I downloaded a complete CSV from the site, opened it, deleted the products that were already on site and being updated with new desc, images, titles, etc by putting "9" in v_status column. Then added the new products and updated products too the file with v_status at "1". I have models all unique and inserted the image name "one per item" just as it is when downloaded from site. I uploaded all of the added images too the images folder via filezilla FTP and verified all were in the folder. The site was working perfectly and easy populate up to this point was loading products and images flawlessly.

After uploading all of the image files and uploading the csv file, I went too check it for products added too the site and although I only added one image file per product, it is adding 10 additional (or more) images too each product and they appear too have some basic common (image names) ie: product - CPLA-K with loaded image of "CPLAK.jpg" then everything else as normal. BUT...now has added as example...CPLA.jpg, CPLC-A-k.jpg, CPL45M.jpg, etc. HELP

Appears too be adding the proper image file for the primary image but when looking in IH4 it shows it as primary and has 10+ more added as well.

    Site is:
    http://www.wreckerequip.com/wreckersource

Issues are in Products / Lighting / (pretty much all sub cats) but use Body & Clearance, can select 2" ROUND AMBER LED LIGHT, GROMMET, PLUG (second product on page I believe) and it will show what is happening. The initial image is the correct one...all else needs too be GONE.

AGAIN, I deleted all of the products in these categories using "9" with Easy populate initially. (in case that is the issue), a sample of the upload spreadsheet follows.

    Model: CPL2A-K
    Image: CPL2.png
Product Name: 2" Round Amber LED...
Product Desc 1: 2" Round Amber LED...
no url, no specials, no last modified, no expires
    Prod Price: 11.08

I DID COPY DOWN "date added" from existing product if matters (prior too date actually added)

    Prod Qty: 6
    Cat 1: Lighting
    Cat 2: Body & Clearance
    Tax Class: copied down
    V Status: set "1"
    All else empty

Not sure if any of that helps, but that is everything that was done too the CSV file prior too uploading. No other Category or Product has these issues.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as I was trying too get the Store open this weekend.
    Thanks in Advance

Technically this doesn't have anything to do with Easy Populate (of any version) nor IH4. This is all about your naming convention of the image for one or more products.

    See: https://www.zen-cart.com/content.php...-product-pages

Then when you take a look at your exported csv, for the product that has multiple images "not associated"/shouldn't be associated you should see that the image assigned is something like: CPL.jpg

As a result, every image that begins with CPL (Ie. CPLA, CPLC-A-k, etc...) will appear associated with that product...

I recommend changing the image file names slightly so this won't happen. Renaming them all with _1 at the end and adjust the base image name in easy populate should take care of this issue. So, CPL_1 will not pull up CPLK_1 or CPL2_1. And if you do have additional images you can use _2, _3 etc. I am not sure why my install is different than yours, I am using IH too, and never use the small, medium, large image directories but do use many other subdirectories. I just looked and we have one with image DD.jpg and another with DDD.jpg in the same directory but DDD.jpg isn't showing in the other product.

If you don't want to manually change a lot of image names I recommend a free tool called rename master. It is excellent and can do batch changes.

Fantastic!! Thank you for the quick response. I spent several days getting everything added too the csv sheet to add the new products and figured I had really messed something up.

I will give that a shot.

Thanks again for the quick help.
