Website is not working and comes up with an error

Hi guys. My website is not working anymore and keeps coming up with the following message:

WARNING: An Error occurred, please refresh the page and try again.

I have researched and have found that looking at the error logs will determine what the cause of the problem is but I am finding it to hard to interpret exactly what the problem is and I am a little confused on what steps to take as I do not want to make anything worse. If anyone could help me on this on how best to fix the problem I would greatly appreciate it.

Could you post the debug log that you are seeing in the directory /logs

This sounds like your site is having a problem locating the database ...

If you look at your database in phpMyAdmin, do your database tables all start with:
zen_template_

Example: zen_template_configuration_group

Or do you see something different, like:
configuration_group

-- or --

zen_configuration_group

Example: zen_configuration_group

Sounds like you configure.php files might be set wrong ...

Look at the files:
/includes/configure.php
/your_secret_admin/includes/configure.php

Check that this setting for the DB_PREFIX reads in both files:

  define('DB_PREFIX', 'zen_');

Yes I have just checked those two files and they both read:

define('DB_PREFIX', 'zen_');

Are there any other things that could be causing the problem?

Do you happen to have a database table called either:
zen_template_configuration_group
-- or --
template_configuration_group

What template are you using and where did you get it?

No none of those tables exist in my database.

Im using the default template for zencart. However I have downloaded and installed other templates through the following websites:

www.picaflor-azul.com

www.creativsite.com

https://www.numinix.com/

Do any of those templates include the file:
/includes/init_includes/init_template_config.php

That is not a core file for Zen Cart ...
