Where is the customers salutation used?

Our client wants to change the Mr / Ms radio buttons for a textbox to allow the customer to enter it. I know this is going to be difficult to add since the system just uses it as a gender box rather than for the salutation.

My question is where does Zen Cart actually use the salutation of the customer? I can't see it being used in any emails or on the orders CP?

It's used exactly once - in the welcoming email the visitor receives after creating an account, and the whole idea is a little old-fashioned, anyway. Turning it off is one of the first things I do with a new Zencart installation.
